The 613
613 is תרי״ג המצוות — the commandments of the Torah. The artist set it as the size of the body of work he intended to complete, and worked toward it for four decades.
The count grew as he worked: 400 works in his 2015 price list, 550 by the 2016 catalogue, 613 by 2021.
